This project is a tribute to my late Uncle-in-law whom was one of my ushers my recent wedding and this was his wedding present to me and the wife on our wedding. This project will be based as still life implemented in Maya, although it won't a game it will still use Unreal Engine 5 to present the asset.
This is will include a chairs, plates, glasses and drinks, etc. This table to created using Maya, using a series of different tools, and techniques. I will also use a 300 pixel density. On this project the next step is to UV map the table then model the chairs |
..After UV Mapping in Maya, I exported the table into substance Designer to texture the table. I used 3 different materials, a white NDF for the body of the table, a gold material for the hinge of the table leaf's, and a wood material for the table top/ leaf's of the table. For the white and gold material I Used the based material with a baked Ambient Occlusion maps in the User defined slot. For the wood material I created from scratch using three different noise & grunge maps blend together and using a vector warp to create the knots in the wood and the grain. At this point the material is in grayscale, to add colour I blend through with the grayscale texture; three different colours a light med and dark tone and then alter the level of these colour to add even more variation of colour attached to a based material to defined the roughness and metallic maps.
